Woman of Valor

There’s a stirring deep within me.

I wonder if you feel it too. The last year has unearthed something in me. There’s a part of Esther 4:14 that keeps jumping out at me, and I believe it’s a call to action.

Many of you have been feeling some kinda way. Something’s been stirring inside of you too. You’ve felt restless, or maybe depressed. You’ve felt that there’s more to your life than what you see. There is a reason for that.

Yes queens. We have been called.

At this point, I instinctually feel that I should go into all of the Biblical examples of women in leadership found in the Word to show those who think women are only called to remain silent. But I won’t. That’s not my problem. The Lord calls men AND women, but I feel deep in my heart, this is a significant time for us women.

What I do feel is wrong is for us to be stifled, restricted, or prevented from using our talents. Our Creator has gifted us in so many ways that can be used for the glory of the Lord. That is evident as seen in the parable of the talents found in Matthew 25.

Maybe you’ve been waiting for a long time.  Maybe others or even just yourself have held you back. Perhaps the Lord was simply saying, “Not yet.” Let me encourage you.

It’s time. It’s not your imagination. You’ve been called.

I wear the words “eshet chayil” on my wrist. It comes from Proverbs 31 where it describes the “ideal” woman. It means “Woman of Valor.” It can be found 224 times in the Old Testament. What most don’t know is that it’s a militaristic word that exudes strength and power and is fundamentally and most often used to speak of warriors and armies.

๐Ÿ˜Š

I’ve got butterflies in my stomach as I picture so many of my sisters emerging from cocoons they’ve been trapped in for years with strength and power.

We are not insignificant. God has given us powerful gifts that cannot be denied. I believe now is our time to use them. I’m not talking about taking over. I’m talking about taking our place.

It’s time.

Do I sound fired up? I am. Someone is thinking, “Oh, there she goes.  She’s done lost her mind. She’s talking all that woman power mess. She’s one of those.” Yes. Yes, I am. We have a great responsibility, and I can’t wait to see how we each use it! It’s God-given, and it’s humbling.

I would love to hear how God is calling you or someone you know to use your gifts.
